I wished, I had purchased sooner. Takes a lot of stress off the the trolling motor base and shaft. No flex, very stiff. Easy 3 screws, i used stainless self tappers. I have a bow mounted hand control motor with a long shaft and would take it off when trailering it. Now I can leave it on. I have a 1989 Fisher v-hull and was worried that it wouldn't attach to the narrow gunwale, but seems to be solidly mounted. Even though the base overhangs a bit.It’s very easy to install. Very easy to use. It’s sturdy. The clamping ring that goes on the shaft of the trolling motor does rust out pretty quickly though.Should come with A Velcro strap for easy release.Quick delivery.
