Description

Whatever your task at hand -- whether it's launching that boat before daybreak, setting up your camper before the rush or getting a final load to the dump before close -- CURT class 3 trailer hitches offer the strength needed for serious towing. They make it easy to hitch up and Bring It, offering a vehicle-specific fit and the weight capacity to handle a variety of trailers. Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Ram 1500, 2500 or 3500 and Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 or 3500 (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 6,000 lbs. GTW and 600 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 10,000 lbs. WD and 1,000 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. We also protect our class 3 hitches in a co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and black powder coat for superior resistance to rust, chipping and UV damage.

Amazon's car filter claims this hitch doesn't fit my vehicle, but the filter is wrong. The Curt #13333 is absolutely specified to fit my vehicle ('22 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock). In any case, I just installed it and, including lowering the wheel, etc. got it all done in precisely 30 minutes. My bumper cap goes back 100% with no clearance issue.I put the 1/2" Hex screw in and snugged it mildly. Thereafter I snaked the two rear bolts through. Got them up to 110 lbs torque per spec. Since I have no way in the world to get the main 1/2 hex screw at the back to 320 lbs as instructions mention I just got it "really tight". I doubt anybody is able to hit 320 on that. This hitch was so easy to install I had to double check myself to make sure I didn't miss something.Have been using this hitch, daily, for over two weeks. No problems. Easy to install. Threading the bolts through the frame with the supplied hardware was easier than I thought.2003 dodge ram 1500Fit perfectly, fishing wire provided made install e-zMay wana add a little silicon to center cap on bumper to keep it on.So installed on a 07' dodge ram quad cab slt. Thought I'd write a review since I had a hard time deciding between all the different hitch assembly's to choose from. Shipped here in 2 days, and this thing is a THICK BOY. The metal used seems to be very well made, I was unsure about paying 100 bucks for something that others sold much cheaper. But to me, I wanted the piece of mind that once I installed this I wouldn't be worrying about the trailer I was towing across the country. Everything I ordered was from CURT, and it installed in 10 mins, and is SOLID.it's well made easy install, you will need a half inch hex wrench that's not in everybody's toolboxeasy to install perfect fitWorks gteat.So... I read all the reviews before purchasing this product because the Amazon icon under the product says it did not fit my vehicle. My vehicle is a 2021 Dodge Ram Classic with crew cab and night edition if that matters. This hitch is correct for my vehicle and it was the one they recommended at Napa but $80 cheaper on Amazon.I want to address some of the things I read in the other reviews. First, I did not need to lower the spare tire but depends what you plan to tighten the nuts with. I used a large wrench which will tighten better than a socket anyways. Next, once you fish the bolts threw, (which was easy) use a set of needle nose to hold the bolt until you get the nut started. Not sure how you could lose the bolt in the frame unless it falls back in after you take the fish wire off. I call bs on anyone saying the wire broke. Next, people complain the kit does not include the cap for the hitch ball cover. You just reuse the one on the truck, unless it's missing on your truck. Sorry that's on you. Can get them at the dealership I'm sure.2 things I didn't like, the main bolt that comes down threw the bumper hitch hole is a hex. I didn't have one that big so had to buy one. Think I remember it being 1/2. No big deal, makes sense being inset so the cover fits back on.But the biggest problem was this is less than a 1 beer task to install. I think Curt should really get a couple more steps in there instructions so it can be at least a 1 beer job, 2 beer job would be even better. What I'm saying is it is super fast and easy to install.ThanksI've towed trailers for work for 20 years. When I ordered my new truck I swore I would never tow a trailer ever again so I ordered it without a trailer hitch. Salesman was dumbfounded. Nope. No hitch. No way. Then I browse warehouse deals and come upon this thing for 20 bucks. I couldn't say no. So now my truck sits in the garage with a damn trailer hitch. To their credit the fit and finish is excellent. Installation was a snap. Still have not towed anything with it. Not gonna either. But for 20 bucks how could I say no. No I won't help you move or bring your stuff home from the big box store. Or tow your trailer. Not even for beer.I’m giving it to stars because the bolt that comes with it for the rear fits but sticks out too high so you can’t put your centre plastic back on. Severely annoying I don’t know why they designed something like this complete garbage highly recommend you stay away from it unless you don’t care about having plastic pieces on your bumper missing up to you. Very annoying I don’t know why the design something like this complete garbage highly recommend you stay away from it unless you don’t care about having plastic pieces on your bumper missing up to youI installed this hitch on a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic. Nice overall build quality, tucks up neatly under the bumper. Total install time is no more than a half hour from start to finish. The fish wire is easy to use and if you keep the top bolt loose the weight of the receiver will hold the fished bolts in place to allow the nuts to get spun on.There are a couple of complaints with the top bolt not allowing the plastic hitch cap to be reinstalled. I didn't have that issue. Everything fit back together nicely.Good value for money. As others have indicated, this is the simplest receiver you will ever install. We installed it in about 15 minutes and then towed a 3500 lb boat 500 km.Tips: -Lower the spare tire to the ground (don't bother taking it off the cable) and use it as a headrest.-You'll need a half inch hex (allen key) socket. These don't generally come individually so you might get stuck buying a set. Princess Auto is your friend, or maybe Can Tire on sale.-The instructions call for you to torque the big bolt to 380 lb-ft. My average Joe torque wrench stops at 250, so I just dialed it up to that, tightened it, then gave it a couple good yanks. Seemed to work.-I threw some lock-tite on the bolts. Your call on that one.
