I am a big fan of the Ram-X lineup. I replaced my 2" with this 6" piece. It holds my smartphone above my motorcycles windshield so I can use it as a GPS for speed traps without tilting my head down to see. There is a SMALL amount of vibration at above speed limit speeds but works great. I have never had to readjust my phone because of vibration or wind. There is a damned good reason I love the Ram-X original ball mount systems.I have several of these RAM connectors for phones holders, GPS, Radios, Etc.These are a really sold way to connect your accessories to a RAM ball mount.RAM has such a wide assortment of accessories. If this meets your mounting needs it would be a solid choice.Great item! High resistantWorks well but would be better as a composite rather than metal.This adapter was used to help mount an iPad inside of an ambulance. There are a few different sizes of RAM mounts and mounting arms. If you’re looking for the most secure setup, research the size you need and go one up. Highly Recommend RAM Products!Works as designed. RAM mounts are the best.As I have purchased several components which are used together, I am reviewing them as a group and repeating the review across all. My time with the product is still very short, I can only provide my initial impressions. RAM products are ASTOUNDING! They do tend to be a bit on the higher end of the spectrum for this type of product; however, the old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely holds in this case. The things I love about this group of products:1 - Once the devices are in place and tightened down, they are stable. There is minimal vibration; and, it does not swivel around when putting the phone in the cradle.2 - The X configuration of the cradle grip allows for maximum air flow around the phone. My previous phone suffered overheating damage from being in a cradle in the sun for an extended trip. The RAM components not only allow for more air flow but the long arm brings the unit further into the car, just past the rear-view mirror, minimizing the amount of direct sun exposure during the hottest times of the day.3 - This is the EASIEST cradle I have owned for getting the phone in and out. I have the LG G3 currently.I currently own two sets of this product. One for each vehicle. The LG G3 with a case is a bit of a tight fit in the phone grip cradle. It is not horrible; but, I have to put it in on an angle then straighten it. I have purchased the larger grip version for the second. It is much easier to get the phone in and out. I have not yet seen a down side to the larger vs normal. I will keep you posted......Nice Mount, Just a little heavy, hopefully stays in place due to weightWow solid piece!! 10/10 top notch quality mount armRam just always works, never fails simple as that.バイクのカメラマウントとして使う時。 ステーの重さ、長さ、強度、カメラの重さと、バイクの振動係数でカメラの振動（ブレ）が決まる。この製品は、強度は充分だが、長くて、重いので、タンクマウントでも、振動幅が大きくなり、スポーツカムを設置するには向かない。 バイク動画を撮影する時、人の身体にマウントするのが一番見やすい。（チェスト・ヘル） 身体が、bikeの振動を消してしまうのだ。 かえって、ヘロヘロのプラスティックの方が見やすい動画となる。かなり重たいです、そして長いのでバイクに付けて上に伸ばして高速走行するとかなり揺れて怖いです。 結果的に振動や風圧に弱いのでしっかりしたウインドシールドや固定方法が確立してるものにはオススメしますが、視認性が良さそうと言う理由て振動の多いバイク（特に単気筒のオフ車とか空冷2気筒のクラシック等）や風圧の強いバイクにはちょっとおすすめできません。その辺りを考えて使えるならば良い製品と思います。さすがラムマウントガッツリ固定できます。いつも購入しているものと同じ品質なので耐久など心配なさそうです。それ故なのか重さがそこそこあります。弱いベースのものに組み入れてしまうと落ちてしまうかもしれません。私はボルトベースとタブレットホルダーをつなぐ為に使っています。安定したところで使う分には頼もしいパーツです。
